Not On Our Watch

Every now and then, something wild happens that reminds you there are still seriously good humans out there.

A few days ago, the shop was packed. Bikes on stands, phones ringing, riders coming and going – just another busy day at Savage Bicycles.

Then, in the middle of the chaos, someone decided it was a good idea to walk off with a bike.

Yeah… not on our watch.

Shaun spotted what was going down, the crew snapped into action, and a couple of customers jumped in without hesitation. Next thing you know, there’s a full-on chase happening – Savage style.

Enter EB, the Legend

Right next door, EB was just minding his own business, grabbing a ham. Literally. Dude’s on a mission for meat, looks up, sees the commotion, and instantly realizes what’s going on.

He didn’t just stand there and watch.

EB spotted the thief, helped track him, and joined up with the Savage crew to chase the guy down and recover the bike. No drama, no ego – just quick thinking and solid instincts.

Because of EB stepping in, the bike made it back to its rightful home, and one would-be thief had a very bad day.

This Is What Community Looks Like

We talk a lot about being a local bike shop and about the “Savage family,” but this is exactly what that means in real life:

  • Customers willing to jump in and help
  • Staff ready to run out the door to protect a rider’s bike
  • A complete stranger, in the middle of a ham run, deciding, “Nope. Not happening on my watch.”

You can’t buy that kind of community. That’s built over years of riders, neighbors, and friends looking out for each other.

EB, You’re One of Us Now

EB is officially a shop favorite now.

We’re beyond grateful he was in the right place at the right time — and even more grateful that he chose to get involved instead of just watching it happen. People like him make this world (and this neighborhood) better.

So if you’re in the shop and you happen to see EB, say hi. He helped save a bike and reminded us all why we do what we do:

It’s not just about bikes.

It’s about the people who ride them — and the people who have their backs.

Huge thank you, EB. You’re always welcome at Savage Bicycles. 🖤🚴‍♂️🥪
